One Hour of Violin Playing Sheds Calories Equivalent to 2 Glasses of Wine According to Study

The website called caloriecount.com had conducted a study that measures how violin playing can affect the physical body. According to their findings, playing the violin for an average of 1 hour can burn an amount of 175 calories approximately. This is equivalent to 2 glasses of wine or ½ bar of Snickers.

An approximate amount of 140 calories was shed in playing on the same length with the cello.

But the highest cardiovascular workout on a musical instrument is playing the drums and trombones. An hour of playing can burn at around 280 – 245 calories.
